Our Outreach Meetings Agenda will be changing for 2007!

Each month we will be holding a Mission Night to highlight a Mission Project that our congregation has been supporting. Each month, there will be a “hands on” project as well as information, desert and fellowship.

Outreach is collecting…

Cell Phones again – We will be taking them to office Max and trading them for reams of paper for the office. Please put them in a collection bin on the mission wall.
Empty Inkjet Cartridges – We recycle them for up to $3.00 apiece and all that money goes into missions for projects selected by the Outreach Team.

*We will continue to also collect Food for the Food Pantry on the first Sunday of every month*

October OUTREACH Ministry News

Uganda Project
A pastor from Friendship UMC has asked us to help with his Uganda Project called Bibles and Bikes! He is asking for help to raise funds to send pastors to Uganda with Bibles to give to the people there. He is also looking to purchase bikes for the Pastors to get to the area villages. The cost is $7.00 for a Bible and $100.00 for a Bike. There will be envelopes in Outreach Alley to make a donation. We will have more information soon in Outreach Alley for you.

October Collection
For our October collection, we will also be packing "Comfort Kits" for the Disabled and Homeless American Vets for Veteran's Day. These kits include:

Hand Towels, Deodorant, Nail Clippers
Wash Cloth, Shampoo, Emery boards
Toothbrush, Comb, Plastic Shoe boxes
Toothpaste, Chapstick, Playing Cards
Christian Tracs or Literature

If you would like to donate any of these items, there will be a collection box along the Outreach Wall. As an ongoing project for this organization, we also collect coupons, expired coupons (which can be used by military families at PX's overseas for 6 months after expiration date), and new or used greeting and Christmas cards for craft projects.
